Friends of Central School is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sustaining Central School as a historically and culturally significant structure. The organization was founded to support improvement efforts and projects for Central School.

Friends of Central School is selling commemorative bricks, pavers, and benches which are added to the building’s outdoor plaza. The proceeds go toward funding vital improvement projects for Central School that help to increase the building’s visibility as an arts and humanities center and help to continue the building’s functionality as a home for non-profit office space, museums, galleries, theatre productions, and studio space.

Members of Friends of Central School include Laura A. Leach (chair), A.C. Bourdier, Ann Knapp, Annette Ballard, Darleen Wesley, Denise Fasske, Jason Barnes, Joe Champeaux, Lester Langley, Jr., Willie Mount, Oliver G. “Rick” Richard, III, Randy Lanza, Theresa A. Barnatt, Tom Shearman, and William Blake.

The 4 inch-by-8 inch bricks are $200 and have two spaces with up to 14 characters on each line for the memorial name or names.

The 8 inch-by-8 inch pavers are $500 and have three spaces of 14 characters each for memorial names.

The benches are $2,500 each and have a plaque with four lines of space for memorial names. The benches will be at the central front entrance.
